Start-up of the forklift industry
Korea’s original home-based lift truck marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. begun to import assembled forklifts as part of a nationwide machinery expansion project. Early sales of this industrial equipment focused on large business communities, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This eventually led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun trade operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training grew to become the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
The general effectiveness of the propane lift truck is impressive. As the propane cylinders can be changed in hardly any time, the machinery could be back on the job relatively fast since it experiences hardly any downtime. It is not like the electric forklift where extra batteries must be bought to be used while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
Since the fuel system of the propane forklift is sealed; it is far safer to operate compared to other models of lift truck. The fuel cylinders are sealed to guarantee optimum safety and should follow strict national code specialization. Propane gas likewise operates with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, hence, if any accident occurs, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This significantly minimizes the probable danger and destruction which could happen. Refilling options are also beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel somewhere else, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling can be completed on site instead.
